personally, i thought that this brand of lanolin was waaay too thick and waxy. i had to rub it in between my fingers to get it to spread on my nipples, and when they were so sore, that was the last thing i wanted to do. not only would it leave lanolin on my fingers, but it hurt to touch my nipples.

I honestly don't have ANY idea how women prior to our time ever nursed without this stuff. The pain nursing can cause can be extreme but this stuff SAVES the day! It keeps your personal areas lubricated and moist, so when the baby nurses, you don't feel any pain at all. Honestly, get this before you deliver and use it during your pregnancy. It will be SO much better for you if you do. Highly, highly recommend!

My skin is really dry so two months prior to my due date, I started using this on my nipples. It worked wonders. I wish I did this with my first baby. The only reason I gave it a 4 four stars is because the cream is very thick so it's not a very good lubricant when using a breast pump (I exclusively pumped from 4 months to 9 months for medical issues). I used olive oil instead. Otherwise, this cream was great to keep my nipples moisturized and healed.
