| Customer Reviews: High Priced, Short-Lived July 5, 2010 ecotopian I have tested Duracell Ultra Advanced batteries in my digital camera and my wireless mouse. In both cases, they lasted substantially less time than plain old Duracell batteries. Why pay more for less? These batteries are a scam. Get plain old Duracell batteries instead and save yourseld the disappointment.
Way better for flash lights and such. July 25, 2009 David in the suburbs (LA suburb, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I use these ultra batteries with my LED hi lumen output bicycle and flashlights. Most bike lights and flashlights eat battery life at least the hi lumen output ones do like 90 to 220 lumens in this case. The regular AAA batteries drained really fast like 30 minutes or so of use. Unless you have the hi end "CREE" bulbs in your device you should invest in these. For "lo stream" or lo usage devices like your remote control any old battery kirkland or generic works fine life wise but hi usage devices require the name brand duracell types and in this case ultras. Digital cameras also should get ultras in them unless you want to risk a dead battery.
Meh. February 27, 2009 J. Anspach (Tacoma, WA USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I didn't notice much difference (other than price) between these and normal Alkaline batteries. I wouldn't purchase again.
Perfect for digital cameras January 7, 2009 Xenadoc (Pennsylvania) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
These ultra batteries are the perfect thing for digital cameras that pull a lot of power, as they do last a lot longer than regular alkaline batteries. Good price.
