5 out of 5 stars Gets Rid of Hard Water Deposits   June 21, 2010
N. Brown (Florida)
I wish I had read the reviews on this wonderful product, before wasting time and money on other products, to clean the
hard water deposits out of my toilet bowl!
I have had to use 3 applications of The Works, because of the amount of calcium, lime, and rust, and whatever else is in
the water around here, that had built up in the toilet.

The liquid is thin, and at first, I too, thought this was going to be another waste of time, but, even without scrubbing,
the deposits are going away.
This is much less harsh than CLR, which is NOT recommended for pipes, btw.

5 out of 5 stars This is what you are looking for...   May 22, 2010

It is very odd for me to review a product like this... but I can't resist.

I just purchased a house that is on well water. If you let the toilets go, in about 2 weeks you will have a visible brown line at the water line, and a dingy toilet. I tried everything I could think of. I have clorox toilet cleaner, CLR, Lime-away, straight bleach, soft scrub, vinegar and AJAX. I tried every single one of those back-to-back and after a solid hour (no exaggeration), I could STILL see the lines.

I did some reading - heard about The Works. I kept my eyes peeled and saw it for $1.89 at a local food store. Picked it up, poured it in and waited a minute. I literally touched the brush to the bowl and it was clean.

I was so frustrated that I just wasted an hour the previous day - but it atleast led me to find this product. I will be a dedicated customer as long as it is available.

Cheap, and incredibly effective. I will be using other The Works products for my sinks/shower.

5 out of 5 stars Works great, please don't pay Amazon's price though   January 15, 2010

I use this stuff all the time and it works great! But my gosh, PLEASE go buy it at the store, the reason I ever tried it in the first place was because it was less than $3.00 at the store. Charging $13.00 for this is ridiculous!

5 out of 5 stars I can't believe it   November 22, 2009
S. Cornwell (Alamogordo, NM United States)
This is my first review of any product I've purchased, but this product works so good I had to share it with everyone. My husband researched on the internet "How to remove hard water stains from the toilet", and he came across this product. Well I was not impressed, but I thought why not I will try anything to get rid of that nasty stain around my toilet bowl. So he went to the dollar store and picked it up. To our amazement it worked. I couldn't believe it!!! All that money spent on popular brands and nothing...but this was amazing. No longer am I embarrassed when guests come over. This is the best product that I have ever used and will never go back to the other stuff. The only thing that I would recommend is to be very carefully when using this, it has acid in it and you don't want to splash this on your clothes. Also, make sure you kept this product out of reach from children.

5 out of 5 stars I've reviewed some odd things..........   September 24, 2009

........but not quite this odd. :)
I moved into my apt. a little over a year ago. Yes, it was nice and squeaky clean when I moved in but a few months later I started to develope some nasty brownish stains on the inside of my toilet. NO NOT THOSE KIND!!!
They may have been rust, hard water, calcium.....(sigh) I have no idea but NOTHING took them off.
Here are some of the remedies I tried.....
C.L.R.
Vinegar.
Lysol.
None of those worked so I decided to try the cheapy brand (The Works).
And........it worked.
I sprayed this around the bowl and wasn't very impressed by the blue runny liquid that came out. I was expecting something thick and gooey.
So after a grunt of disgust I just walked away and came back a few seconds later and to my utter and complete amazement the stains had already started to vanish. I hadn't even scrubbed yet!
So with a few swishes of the the toilet wand everything was gone. Poof, gone, just like that.
The Works rocks.
The best cleaner out there bar none.
Is it harsh?
Yes.
Who cares, it works. :)
The Works..........works!!!
And it's cheap......yayyyyyyyy.
Highly recommended for your poopy pot.
